Bred by Dr. Elwin Orton at Rutgers University, NJ. it was trialed and tested for over 23 years before we became involved with its introduction.
Growing naturally into a tight conical shape, it is a perfect size and habit for the average home owner's garden. Sporting dark evergreen foliage and abundant shinny berries it makes a beautiful specimen, privacy screen or hedge. It is easily pollinated by a male variety like Ilex Blue Prince.
