Achillea Apple Blossom is a beautiful, easy to grow and look after perennial. Commonly known as Yarrow, here's a summer flowering perennial that is very hardy (Zone 2), and will thrive in sunny, well-drained spots. In fact, it loves sandy, gravelly sites and even does well in 'thin" soils where many other plants would not survive. This drought tolerance (when established) makes it a superb choice for sunny front and back yards, raised beds, banks and hillsides, easy care gardens, summer homes by the ocean etc. In addition it is a terrific cut flower and very importantly is usually left untouched by deer and rabbits. On the other hand, pollinating insects like butterflies and bees love to visit the large nectar rich flowers.
