It is hardy, EASY to GROW and and has a narrow, upright habit, so it can fit into smaller spaces and still be a great background for smaller shrubs. It was named Perennial Plant of the Year in 2001 and just as easy to maintain as it is to grow. In summer it has attractive wheat-colored plumes rising to about 6', that persist for an amazingly long time often well into to winter.
Place it by itself or plant in a row for a border or seasonal screen. It looks especially lovely on a windy day when the plumes sway in unison.
