What a beauty! Join David at Overdevest Nurseries and take a look at this GORGEOUS red vine. This clematis was bred by Raymond Evison from the Isle of Guernsey. He is a dedicated clematis breeder and has introduced some of the most beautiful clematis ever. This one may be our all time favorite! Large, (5-6") crimson red flowers with a purple center cover this vine. It is part of the Boulevard series, featuring more compact, free flowering vines. This variety grows to about 4'-5' tall and is perfect for a training up trellis, low walls and fences or climbing up a mailbox post. Makes an eye-catching container plant too, just remember that while it is perfectly hardy outdoors in the ground, containers will need to be brought indoors to be overwintered in our Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region.
