Here's a nice, vigorous grower that will give you bold, evergreen clumps of rich, dark burgundy (verging on black) leaves. Wonderful in partially shaded or shady sites and will do well in sunnier spots too, providing it has moist (but not constantly wet) conditions at its roots during drier periods. Superb in containers, it would be great in pots, planters & window boxes.
